SysML provides the means to capture complex engineering systems. Most engineering projects use UML and SysML together. This course focuses on applying the SysML notation to a large real life case study in the context of an overall systems engineering process and integrating into existing processes. Attendees are encouraged to supply a case study based on their own working domain or project experience.

Business Process Analysis using BPMN
2 days, no previous experience required
Understand how to use BPMN modelling notation for Business Process Modelling, whether for gathering the results/ procedures in complex engineering systems or for traditional business analysis. Also covers the concepts of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and how BPMN is fundamental to capture business processes for automatic generation of BPEL.

UML for Systems Engineering
3 days, no previous experience required
This course applies the UML to a large, real life avionics case study. The modeling will involve object orientation which will be introduced in easily assimilated modules throughout the course. The understanding of the subject matter will be developed through a large amount of practical, hands on work which will be used to consolidate every topic covered. We will be looking at different processes that can be used with the UML on systems engineering projects, but will focus on the V-model.
